Work has been progressing to develop a portal for information on green products, projects, and service providers. The new Virtual Green Marketplace section is being populated with information provided by the user community.  
Green Product and Information Databases

The RI Green Building Council does not necessarily endorse any product or service provider listed on the Marketplace or Resources pages. However, the companies listed in the Marketplace section have met certain qualifying criteria, so as to avoid consumer "green-washing".  

The following are other publicly available databases:

Ecolect  An evolving source of sustainable, innovative "eco material" products. Case studies, user reviews and a blog help explain how product design and ecology affect the world.
Sustainable Rhode Island Directory   This database is maintained by the Apeiron Institute for Sustainable Living. It features products and people working to promote sustainability in all aspects of life.
Green Product and Services Directory  This is a list of providers courtesy of the Connecticut Green Building Council.
Sustainable Green Pages  This directory, prepared by the Northeast Sustainable Energy Assn., will connect you with a wide range of professionals and organizations in New England and the mid-Atlantic states offering services and environmentally-friendly products in over 30 specialties. NESEA's professional and corporate members are eligible to be listed in the directory.
Green Home Guide  This is a green guide recently purchased by the USGBC serving New York, California and a handful of major cities around the US.
Free Green  This is a website where you can find free, energy efficient house plans. Additionally, you can check out construction of a green home by watching video clips.
2009 Green Book  A sustainable product and resource guide. The Green Book is a resource for architects and designers to find environmental products and services. An alphabetical listing of suppliers is cross referenced by product name and CSI code.
Oikos Green Building Source  A green product directory.
America's Green Pages A directory of green building products and services in the US.
